Child Safety Standards
1. Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Unimate has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and strictly prohibits any content or conduct related to the sexual abuse or exploitation of children on the platform.
Unimate is committed to maintaining a platform where child sexual abuse and exploitation are prohibited and where users can report content or conduct that may violate these standards. If child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is identified, such material is subject to removal in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
2. Platform Access and Eligibility
Unimate is a social platform intended for students. Account creation requires verification of a valid university email address.
The university-email-based access control is intended to restrict access to the university student community. Unimate does not permit the use of the platform for the purpose of child sexual abuse or exploitation and prohibits the sharing, distribution, solicitation, or other engagement with CSAM or other prohibited content related to the sexual exploitation of children.
3. Content and Behavior Moderation
Unimate uses content moderation mechanisms on the platform to review content and user activity and to identify violations of the platform’s standards.
Users have access to an in-app reporting and blocking feature through which they can report content or conduct that they believe violates the platform’s standards, including potential CSAE-related content or conduct. Reports are reviewed by Unimate’s moderation team, and appropriate action is taken in accordance with the applicable platform standards.
Unimate is committed to removing CSAM when it becomes aware of its presence on the platform. Content or conduct that violates the Child Safety Standards may also be subject to moderation measures, including removal or restriction of access.
4. Legal Compliance and CSAM Reporting Commitment
Unimate is committed to complying with applicable laws and regulations concerning child safety and child protection.
When Unimate becomes aware of confirmed CSAM, it commits to taking appropriate measures to remove the material and, where required by applicable law, report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant regional authority, including the competent authority in Georgia, in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Unimate is also committed, where required by applicable law, to cooperating with relevant law enforcement authorities or other competent authorities regarding confirmed CSAM and other matters related to child safety.
5. Child Safety Point of Contact
Unimate has designated a Child Safety point of contact for notifications and communications concerning CSAE and CSAM, as well as matters related to the enforcement of these standards and relevant review procedures.
